Step 1: Create your app on the Intuit Developer Portal| -> Sign in to your developer account. -> Select the Dashboard tab on the toolbar. -> Go to the Apps tab. -> Select + Create an app. -> Follow the on-screen steps.
Step 2: Obtain credentials
-> Click on Keys & Credentials on the left side of the screen under the tab Production Settings (!NOTE!) You might first have to verify your app with Intuit. Follow these instructions first on the page. -> Here you can find your Client ID and Client Secret. -> You'll also see a hyperlink 'Oauth 2.0 Playground', click on this. -> From here select the app you created or want to use (either in production or sandbox) -> Your keys should be presented again. Now select the com.intuit.quickbooks.account Scope -> Click on 'Get Authorization code'. -> Now your Authorization Code and Realm ID should be shown.
